Firefighters, EMTs and EMS all have down time at the station between calls. During that time, a suitable, comfortable work uniform is worn for errands, drills and maintenance, yet still resilient enough to run out on a call with. We feel that our station shirt offers the best value with all the features it provides.
Those with previous experiences with Nomex have found the material to be heavy, stiff and just plain uncomfortable. Fortunately, Blauer uses a unique version of Nomex IIIA. The Blauer station shirts are offered in Nomex; a comfortable, breathable, wash and wear material that is flame retardant, a quality most sought after by those in a profession where dealing with fire is common. Along with Nomex, the Blauer station shirts are certified to NFPA 1975 to meet the American standard of burn prevention. The front features a snap front closure with mock buttons and pleated front pockets with pointed flaps. The station shirt also has stitched in traditional 5 crease military styling and banded dress collar. Badge eyelets allow you to proudly display your badge with an internal system of support straps. Just like most Blauer shirts, the tails were designed to be extra-long so that the shirts stay tucked in all day. Epaulets complete the military tradition in this fireman shirt.
The non-Nomex offerings are 100% cotton, but still certified to NFPA 1975 standards for burn protection.
